Set Up Call Forwarding
The simplest way to use your AI assistant: forward your existing business number to a Nova number. That way you stay reachable under your familiar number.
How it works
- You buy a Nova number and assign it to an assistant
- You set up call forwarding with your phone provider to that number
- Callers dial your usual number — and reach the AI assistant
Instructions by provider
Activate call forwarding by phone
On your landline phone, dial:
| Function | Key combination |
|---|---|
| Immediate forwarding | *21*[Nova number]# |
| When busy | *67*[Nova number]# |
| On no answer (after 20 sec.) | *61*[Nova number]# |
| Cancel forwarding | #21#, #67#, or #61# |
Replace [Nova number] with your Nova number including the area code.
💡
Recommended setup: Set up forwarding on no answer (*61*). This way you can pick up calls yourself — and if you don't answer, the bot takes over.
Costs
Call forwarding is treated and billed by your phone provider like any other outbound call. Depending on your plan, costs may apply. With a flat-rate plan, forwarding is usually free.
⚠️
Test call forwarding after setting it up! Call your own number from another phone and check that the Nova assistant answers.
