How much does Nova cost?

NovaVoca bills Nova through monthly subscriptions. Each plan includes a quota of included minutes, SMS segments, phone numbers, and concurrent calls. If you exceed your quota, overage fees apply. You can find the current plans in the dashboard under Settings → Billing or on novavoca.ai (opens in a new tab).

Does Nova also support English-speaking callers?

Yes. Nova is primarily designed for German, but two English voices are also available for English-speaking callers.

How long does setup take?

A simple assistant with voice, prompt, and phone number is set up in under 10 minutes. The AI prompt generator saves you additional time. Advanced features like appointment booking or API integration can take 30-60 minutes.

Is NovaVoca GDPR-compliant?

Yes. NovaVoca is fully GDPR-compliant:

  • Data processing on EU-based servers
  • Data Processing Agreement (DPA) available
  • No sharing of conversation data with third parties
  • Deletion possible on request at any time

Can I use my own phone number?

Yes, there are two options:

  1. Call forwarding: Forward your existing number to a Nova number. This works with any phone provider.
  2. SIP integration: Connect your number directly via SIP trunk (e.g., 3CX, Starface, Fritzbox).

What happens at peak load?

Nova can take any number of calls simultaneously. There are no wait times or busy signals — every caller is served immediately.

Can the assistant transfer calls?

Yes, in two ways:

  1. Static forwarding: Before the bot, based on rules (e.g., business hours)
  2. Live transfer: During the call, if the caller requests it or the assistant deems it necessary

How natural does the assistant sound?

Nova uses modern AI voices across three quality tiers — Natural voices, Expressive voices, and Enterprise voices. The voices are barely distinguishable from real humans and respond with under 150 ms latency — the conversation feels natural.

Can I test the assistant before publishing?

Yes. As soon as you have assigned a phone number, you can call your assistant and test it at any time. There is no separate "test mode" — you talk directly to your assistant.

Are calls recorded?

Nova stores call logs (transcripts) and extracted data. Audio recordings are not permanently stored. You can find details on data processing in our Privacy Policy.
